When mixed with water clay masks draw impurities to the surface of the skin to be eliminated and stimulate blood flow and nutrient delivery to the skins surface. Clay masks rejuvenate and aid exfoliation, removing dead skin from the skins surface for a brighter, clearer complexion. Clay masks can also help to clear breakouts and acne. Clays are naturally drying as they also draw your skins natural oils from the skin so it is helpful to follow your clay mask with a nourishing plant oil massage.

To use your clay mix one to two teaspoons of clay powder with an equal amount of hydrosol or water and mix into a paste. Apply the paste to your skin, avoiding the eye area, for 10 to 20 minutes. Remove with warm water and follow with a nourishing oil massage.
