Lockdown. Our recommendations.

Lockdown. Our recommendations.

Lockdown got you down. Not sure what to do with your time. We've collated a few of our favourite things we've come across to share with you incase you're looking for a little something new or different to fill the time.
Need to move?
Check out these awesome 30 minute yoga classes by United State of Flow Co. They do it live on their insta and you visit anytime by checking out their IGTV. Seriously Jenna is amazing, if you’d like to feel the burn then hit play on the Yoga Sculpt or if you’re after more of a stretch and flow check our Friday Flow. Click here to start flowing.
Need some chill time.
Insight Timer is my go to, it has so many meditations for all different purposes. Pregnancy, birth prep, mindset and sleep meditations to name a few. You’ll be spoilt for choice! Click here to check out Insight Timer.
Also love this guided visualisation by Sabrina Webber. Click here to listen to 'Meet your higher self, a guided visualisation.
Hungry? Time to nourish your bod?
Looking for something to read?

These are my personal recommendations of books I've read and loved...

- Aue by Becky Manawatu
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
- Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall
- Against a loveless world by Susan Abulhawa
The Tao of Inner Peace by Diane Dreher
Need some ideas to help entertain the kid(s)?
Cosmic Kids Yoga. Get the kids flowing and join on in with this you tube channel dedicated to kids yoga. This adventure/story/yoga all mixed into one. Check it out here.
A tub of water and dishwashing liquid outside with a bunch of toys they can clean/play with. Best on a warm day of course.
Get them involved my son spend a solid 20 minutes vacuuming my car and loves to help with the recycling and sweep leaves. I mean I’m not saying he leaves things much cleaner but it gives him and boost and keeps him entertained while I also have a bit of a clean and tidy.
Baking! Our Alkeme baking mixes are fab for kids as the process is nice and quick, the outcome delicious and nutritious. Check them out here.

Painting and drawing. I don't know about you but I find it can be really relaxing to draw or paint and doing it with the kids really takes away any need to 'create' something specific...scribble, draw, splatter whatever you want it's all about the process.

Last of all I just wanted to say however you're feeling is ok. The world seems a little crazy right now, the news and all that's happening around the world can be overwhelming. I've put these here to try and help...but please know binge watching TV, putting cartoons on for the kids and/or enjoying a glass or three of wine is all more than ok too, it's about balance!

Be kind to yourself, be kind to others. Keep connecting to the people you love. Breathe, slow it all down. Sending love to each and everyone of you beautiful humans. We've got this.
